Gandmommy's Visit

Grandmommy came to help out while I was waiting (and waiting, and waiting, and waiting) to have Zander. The kids got to enjoy some time with her. We've had quite a few things come to us in the mail. The kids made a train out of the boxes. They had a lot of fun in them.
After Zander was born the kids came to visit us in the hospital. Because of RSV season, the kids couldn't come see the baby in the room. They could only see him through the nursery window. It seemed kind of mean to make me walk down long hallways after just having a baby to come see Kyler and Azure, but I can understand they want to make sure the babies don't get sick.
The kids enjoyed seeing me and the baby, but it was a little pointless having them at the hospital too long because there wasn't much for them to do.
Zander was born on Friday, and since the kids couldn't really do much at the hospital, Trevor and his mom took them do Dinosaur World on Saturday.
The kids love Dinosaur World. It also gave them something to do to distract them (mainly Azure) from the fact that mom was not available.

The kids also got to take Grandmommy to see daddy's campus. He showed her his office.
Then, demonstrated his excellent teaching skills. Azure and Kyler look so tiny for those desks!
The campus here is really beautiful. We've enjoyed the weather here. I'm beginning to see that winter is not going to be as beautiful, though. Fall was gorgeous with all the trees changing colors. Summer was green and flowers were still in beautiful bloom. I'm used to August just looking dead. But, winter here is when everything just looks dead. There is no snow to give everything a nice dusting of something pretty.
Every day Grandmommy is here she leaves a little surprise on the table for the kids to find at breakfast. The first day the kids found fun umbrellas. It was perfect because we have had a lot of rain. Kyler loves walking to the bus stop with his umbrella. They got other fun things like crayons, monster trucks, movies, fur-real animals, etc. Kyler was always talking about what he might get the next morning. The kids really enjoyed their visit with their Grandmommy. They don't get to see her as much as they'd like, but they enjoy what they get! She was a great help and it was so wonderful to have her with us. We miss you, Grandmommy!
