We finally got the TV set up in the living room. I was very excited to get a flat screen for Christmas. We can hook it up to our computer and watch Netflix on it. The living room is a bit messy, but I think that comes with baby gear.....

My parents were able to come visit the beginning of January. We have missed Grandmommy, so it was nice to have the other set of grandparents come visit. The kids really enjoyed the undivided attention Grandma gave them. They had a playmate 24/7.

My dad, mom, and Trevor took the kids to Home Depot to build a shed piggy bank. My dad loves to build things, which is where I got it ;) He and Trevor helped the kids build while my mom took pictures.

I stayed home with Zander. We're getting out more little by little. I don't really take him out when I can avoid it right now. He was five weeks old when my parents came. That's the age Azure was when she was hospitalized for a high fever. I didn't want a repeat of that with Zander.

My dad's favorite thing is to snuggle up with a new baby and take a nap. They took a good long nap one afternoon. I don't think my dad knew I got this picture ;)

I love babies in onesies, just onesies. You can see the fingers and toes, the little legs and arms. Zander is at a sweet stage. He is smiling a lot more. He almost laughs. He's really a little young to laugh, but when he's happy and gives huge smiles he makes cute little noises that almost sound like a laugh.

We blessed Zander with my dad out here. It's a bit sad that we only have one family member able to stand in the circle with Trevor. Kyler had both grandpas in his circle, but Azure and Zander have only had my dad. Trevor's dad's job isn't quite as flexible at times as my dad's. We have some uncles that we'd love to have too, but we realize it's just part of living away from family. We sure miss you at times like this, though.

Zander is smiling in this picture. I loved having my parents here, of course. It's always fun to visit with family.

Kyler took this picture. He didn't do too bad of a job. He just barely cut off the side of my mom, but got all our heads!

We had come home from church, so Azure and my mom had already changed into more comfortable clothes.

He is five weeks old here and already looking like a baby! They grow way too fast (although I don't mind the sleeping better as they get older).

While my dad was here he showed me the ins and outs of staining and varnishing. We have a pantry we are adding to our kitchen and he was a HUGE help in getting me acquainted with staining. I have painted a lot of projects now, but staining was new for me. Now that I got to watch a pro and work with a pro I feel more confident.

I'm so excited to get my pantry in the kitchen. I still have some work to do with the sides of the pantry, so it will be a few weeks before it's usable (hopefully only one week, but with a baby we'll see). I haven't shared pictures of every room of the house because I would like to take pictures without, say, food all over the counter. Pictures will come for those of you who are waiting. You just have to be patient with me ;)

My parents also sent me my grandpa's old Miter Saw (kind of a late Christmas present - he he). I am acquiring more tools! Trevor's grandpa got us some great tools for Christmas, too. One of them is just waiting for the pantry to be done so I can trim the baseboard with it. I build things in my head all the time. It's finding the time and getting the materials that is the tricky part.

Azure is in love with her baby brother, as is Kyler. They took a bath on Thurday night and I had Zander in the bathroom watching them. He smiled at them for the first time that night. They loved it! He gave them some of his biggest smiles. I'm sure he's going to adore them. He already does. He turns his head toward them when he hears them.

We actually got some snow! Thursday afternoon it snowed, so we had a snow day on Friday. I took the kids out early in the morning so they could play in it before it melted. We had all the right snow gear. Some of the other kids in the neighborhood said they couldn't play in the snow because it was too cold and they didn't have the gear for it. I had just given up on the idea of getting snow and we got a little. For those of you in Utah and South Dakota - I know this is a pitiful amount of snow and you get sick of it. But, there are those of us who think of it as a blessing ;)
